Product Information:

Engineered to provide strength and consistency, Tru Joists are a key part of making a high-performance floor. TJI joists are light weight and come in long lengths, which makes them faster and easier to install than traditional framing.

606.1(1-3) Biobased products are used. 8 points maximum awarded. 3, 6 To earn 6 points this product must be at least 1% of the construction material cost AND another biobased product, also at 1% of material cost, must be used. Lesser points are available at the 0.5% level.

606.2(2) At least 2 responsible or certified wood-based products are used as major components of the building. 4 points available. 3 To earn 3 points, a second certified wood product must also be used as a minor element.

Manufacturer's Comments: Weyerhaeuser manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada are independently certified to sustainable forestry standards as well as all Weyerhaeuser timberlands, ensuring the availability of forests for future generations.
606.3 Materials manufactured using =33% of the primary manufacturing process energy derived from renewable sources, combustible waste sources, or renewable energy credits are used as major components of the building. 2 points awarded per material; 6 points max. 2 Products must be used as a major component of the building.

608.1(2) Engineered wood or engineered steel products are used in place of conventional products. 3 points awarded per material. 3 At least 80% of structural composite lumber in the building is this product.

Manufacturer's Comments: On average, we use 99% of each log to produce Weyerhaeuser wood products, additional wood products,and energy.
610.1.2.1 A product with improved environmental impact measures compared to another product(s) intended for the same use is selected. 2 points for product with 4 impact measures; 3 points for product with 5 impact measures. 10 points max. 2 None.

Manufacturer's Comments:

612.1 The aggregate value of building products from registered ISO 14001 or equivalent production facilities is =1% of the estimated total building materials cost. 1 point awarded per %; 10 points max. 2 Points are awarded at 1 point per one percent of building material costs. Material cost breakdown to be verified and points adjusted to reflect actual percentage of all products from 14001 facilities.

Manufacturer's Comments: Weyerhaeuser is committed to reducing our environmental footprint. Since 1999, Weyerhaeuser has reduced water usage by 27%, waste going into landfills by 49%, and energy consumption by 23%.
901.4(2-6) A minimum of 85% of material within a product group (i.e., wood structural panels, countertops, composite trim/doors, custom woodwork, and/or component closet shelving) is manufactured in accordance with the following. 10 points maximum awarded. 4 A minimum of 85% of structural composite lumber in the building is this product.

Manufacturer's Comments: Urea formaldehyde resins are not added to any of our products.
